Millennium Fellowship Project: Girl Child PRO
Girl child PRO is an initiative that seek to promote the Sustainable Development Goal 3:
good health and well-being. It aims at reaching out to young girls between the age of 9 to 17 years to address them on good menstrual hygiene. The training will involve teaching, workshops, discussions and souvenir distribution. This initiative will prevent many health challenges associated with bad menstrual hygiene.
About the Millennium Fellow
Hameedat Shittu is a pharmacy student at University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is intelligent, enthusiastic, passionate, and ambitious. She was born, resides, and attends school in Nigeria. Hameedat's desire to help others led her to pursue a degree in pharmacy since she is enthusiastic about ensuring that everyone in her community has access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. She is passionate in advocating for the rights of the female child and combating drug abuse. She has participated in various community outreach programs. Hameedat aspires to contribute to the development of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
