Millennium Fellowship Project: The Mentis Project
The Mentis project is focused on creating awareness against mental illness, it's aetiology, causes, treatment or management available and also enlightening the public so as to decrease the stigma levels to the barest minimum. The Mentis project is primarily focused on eradicating the stigma associated with mental illnesses.
In my country, stigmatization is still prevalent and can be effectively reduced through the sensitization of the public. The sensitization process was carried out both physically and virtually. The former was done by visiting secondary schools and sharing fliers while the latter was done through the team's various social media handles via infographics.
