Millennium Fellowship Project: Transcend initiative
Transcend is an initiative that will fuse four main focal points on Maternal and Reproductive Health into a single campaign that will educate women of reproductive age in my locale on; Family Planning, Safe Motherhood, Reproductive tract Infections, and Cancers of Reproductive Organs. The idea will be to uniformly and sustainably bridge identified knowledge gaps on the issue, over the four months of the fellowship.
The campaign will hinge on the inter-relevance of all four issues on the health and well-being of the woman, thereby buttressing SDG 3. Transcend will be a research-oriented movement that will ultimately identify the linkage between all components under focus. This common denominator will proffer a novel approach to outreach efforts on the issue of Maternal and Reproductive Health.
Tools like audio-visual campaigns, seminars, social media, and data analysis will be employed to mobilize, educate, remind and track the progress of women under the Transcend initiative.
About the Millennium Fellow
Nwankwo Chidinma Patricia is a final level medical student of the prestigious and research - rich Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Nigeria. She is an avid scholar with a merchant for research and Pathology. Chidinma's enthusiasm for research and public health intervention has put her on the map of her institution as a paragon for community engagements and advocacy. She is a prolific volunteer for health and well being causes and a proficient data analyst.
