" Empathy, a great need for change and an overt disdain for the social and economic divide in my community are what drive me and inspire me to do the work I do. I am passionate about seeing that everyone has equal or near equal means to help them survive in a world that is not exactly structured in that way. I am super excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe it will make my impact more amplified across my community and hopefully outside of it too. I am also excited to learn from this experience so as to better apply myself better in the future when I need to. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Never To Be Caught Unskilled
Never to be caught unskilled.
It is a project put in place to teach young people the benefits of gaining skills that are valuable and profitable. This is to give them the opportunity to provide for themselves without waiting for the government.
About the Millennium Fellow
Cynthia Chidinma Anyadioha is a young, resilient and forward thinking Nigerian student currently studying Pharmacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Agulu Campus. She is a person who is passionate about contributing in her own little way to the improvement of the quality of life of those around her. Having this goal in mind, she put together her project to help young people in her community. She has done some volunteer work which was still driven by her need to educate and provide help to people in any capacity that she can. She is happy for this opportunity given by the Millennium Fellowship to further add her voice and efforts to helping to alleviate the problems plaguing people in her community. Cynthia believes that this opportunity would give her the needed experience and drive to engage in doing more good work in the future. She is looking forward to contributing to the development of the United Nations' Sustainable growth.
