Millennium Fellowship Project: Personal Health and Hygiene among Children
The project aims to ensure that children in primary schools observe personal hygiene within and outside the home.It is focused on letting pupils know the importance of maintaining overall well-being so as to avoid contracting diseases.
I went to a Catholic primary school with my project partner after getting the necessary permission from the school management.We began with a short prayer, introduced ourselves to the pupils, introduced the topic of discussion,organised a little board game for fun, physically demonstrated how to brush and wash the hands and body, organised a short quiz of which those that got the right answers were given gifts,ie,toothbrush and soap.
