Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Children With Disabilities
Empowering children with disabilities is an independent project set up my millennium fellows in Zambia.It aims at helping children with disabilities such as cerebral palsy by facilitating the make of equipments which will help them lead a normal life despite their disabilities.The goals to be accomplished include;
1. To source for materials e.g paper, cardboard, paint which are used to make mobility aids.
2.To provide other basic necessities e.g diapers to support families of low social economic status
3.To work as volunteers and assist in production of mobility aids.
4 To organise a small celebration at APTERS Zambia with children and parents at the end of the project as supplies are donated
About the Millennium Fellow
Martha Lungu is hardworking,determined sixth year medical student at the University of Zambia Ridgeway campus.She was born on the 14th of February in Nchelenge,luapula province in a family of four.Did my primary school I'm Nchelenge then went to St Mary's secondary School under the sponsorship of CAMFED.I'm very passionate about my career and reaching out to young people who want to achieve their goals.Am open to learning new things that better me.
