Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Children With Disabilities
Providing support to a team of physically challenged people that work to create mobility aids from recycled paper and cardboard for children with disabilities.
About the Millennium Fellow
Precious Mudadi, born on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia, in Ndola to be specific. But at the age of 2 years, she had to relocate to a village in the Eastern Province of Zambia in Petauke due to financial challenges as she had no parent to take care of her and her twin sister, only had her late grand mother who was old and unemployed then. Because of challenges of not having a mother around as a child, she was at some point admitted in the hospital for malnutrition together with her sister. As she turned 4 years old, her mother returned and took custody of her twin daughters. Years later, as Precious grew, her passion has always been about children, especially the less privileged. Due to her childhood history, she's always stepped out for the wellbeing of a child, volunteered in teen peer education and offered free tuitions to school children. Currently, she's in her final year as a medical student and wishes to influence the world and help in the achievement of one of the SDGs.
