" Objectivity, transformation and networking. I am looking for this Fellowship because I believe it will help build my capacity as a leader, as a social change champion, and it will connect me with like minded leaders which will give me an opportunity to learn, share and implement as we network. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Social Impact at the University of Nairobi

The University of Nairobi's Millennium Fellowship cohort joined various SACCOs and Micro-Finance Institutions during this year's Savings week. As part of our Social Impact tour, we explored ways for these institutions partnering with us in advancing the SDGs. The event that took place at the Wakulima Market attracted many small-scale traders. We talked about how how the SACCO movement can support Young people by creating internships and offering decent work and economic growth for the entire society. On their part, the SACCOs shared the strategies they are using to end Poverty, alleviate hunger, and build sustainable cities and communities through their products.
