I will be challenged to work on the changes I have wanted for a very long time to see in my community as opposed to just having it in my head as an idea. Nelson Mandela once said action without vision is only passing time,vision without action is merely day dreaming but vision with action can change the world. Millennium Fellowship Project: MIND MAP PROJECT
Mind Map project is going to be 3 day workshop. It's about the young generation empowering the even younger generation. During the three day workshop topics like Gender Based Violence, Goal setting, Ways of giving back to the community, girl child empowerment, empowering a bit child for an empowered woman will be covered. As the project leader we will be working with an NGO clased Light of Life which deals with rescuing young girls from cultural malpractice.
About the Millennium Fellow
Cecily Naneu Sangale is a young 20 year old girl who is extremely passionate about small communities across the world but most especially in Kenya. She would like to see change in communities which have been overlooked like better health care facilities, not forgetting making dreams become a possibility for many young people. She is self driven and always goes after her dreams and where she envisons herself and her community in the future. She believes in the power of now and small changes which make the bigger change. The power of Ubuntu is at the core of everything she does and she can't wait to see what the future unfolds through her passionate dreams.
