United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Natural Grey-Water Purifier

The project uses plants capable of purifying wastewater in three stages. It will utilize kitchen, washing machine and even bathroom wastewater and purify it before discharge into rivers or even for reuse in agriculture.

About the Millennium Fellow

Charles is an innovative third-year law student at the University of Nairobi, passionate about creating change in the world. His ambition is to lead and take part in social projects that will ensure everyone has access to clean water and improve access to sanitation. In the future, he wishes to spearhead change in his generation through public projects and to work towards international policy making.
