" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me a platform and informational resources to achieve a social impact goal. What drives me to be a champion for SDG-3 is my personal upbringing experience, my parents didn't know better when it came to my emotional needs, I didn't know better, but now that i have the knowledge and opportunity, I would like to help both parents and their children on how to better take care of their emotional needs while they are young. This helps them grow up to be self actualized individuals at a young age rather than becoming adults and having to deal with their childhood traumas "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Social Impact at the University of Nairobi

The University of Nairobi's Millennium Fellowship cohort joined various SACCOs and Micro-Finance Institutions during this year's Savings week. As part of our Social Impact tour, we explored ways for these institutions partnering with us in advancing the SDGs. The event that took place at the Wakulima Market attracted many small-scale traders. We talked about how how the SACCO movement can support Young people by creating internships and offering decent work and economic growth for the entire society. On their part, the SACCOs shared the strategies they are using to end Poverty, alleviate hunger, and build sustainable cities and communities through their products.
