United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: One Health Social Impact Project

One health project is purposed to create awareness on importance of human , animal and environmental health in relation to prevention of diseases by aiming on preventive measures rather than cure .

About the Millennium Fellow

Immaculate Wanjiru Kimiri is a brilliant, passionate, compassionate and self driven medical student at the University of Nairobi.She was born in Kenya and resides in Nairobi. Immaculate has always been passionate about alleviating suffering of Kenyan citizens from illnesses that are preventable through advocacy of one health which entails collaboration of animal health, environmental health and human health as each relies on the other as we live in an ecosystem. Throughout her primary,high school and campus years Immaculate has successfully organised and participated in forums and projects that advocate for one health. With her outstanding resilience and drive she plans to continue advocating,educating and participating in promotion of preventive health care not only locally in her county but globally.
Immaculate aspires to be in the health sector field in order to cultivate this results and also provide her contribution in development of United Nations Sustainable Goals .
