United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Being a member of the Millennium Fellowship will equip me with the much needed skills for promoting a more human-centered design thinking where the needs of the people I want to serve are at the core of my work. These skills will ensure that my work is more impactful and align with SDGs. I am enthusiastic on meeting diverse people and learning more ways to be impactful. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mbele iko sawa na Kina Mama (MiM)

Educating women and youth on the following major areas:
1. Financial literacy
2. Reproductive and menstrual health
3. Gender Based Volence

About the Millennium Fellow

Laureen Mayoye is a smart, energetic and open-minded young woman. She is a Kenyan citizen and is currently undertaking her undergraduate law degree at the University of Nairobi-Parklands Campus. Laureen is passionate about gender equality and securing partnerships especially those that help in the actualization of women’s rights. She is involved in several projects that ensure young girls and boys are taught on the importance of speaking up and standing for what is just. Laureen aspires to be in a professional field which offers challenging opportunities for her personal growth while contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
