United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Being a milllenium Fellow will help me meet a community of Fellows doing different projects and allow me to see the world through so many differnt lenses.This is an experience one cannot get by just meeting people from their locality .This global interaction will help me learn various skills ,share my ideas and point of view and create a support group to push each other to keep making the world a better place "

Millennium Fellowship Project: CODIFY

A computing solution for children and youths in marginalized and slum areas to solve various problems throught tech , Kidds and youths are brought together and trained on programming, software development and design thinking .This not only equips them with tech skills but offers a learning platform foe collaboration with other learners as they discus social transformation through tech

About the Millennium Fellow

Leonard Odhimbo Simala is a young, innovative open-minded computerscience student at the university of Nairobi .Born in Kenya and passionate about solving societies problems by leveraging the power of technology .Leonard believes the future will not only be shaped by technology but also that the current generagion will shape the technology of the future. It is time to equip young people with the skills to shape technologies of the future and in the process solve humanities problems using this technologies.I aspire to use my technical skills and advocay to promote computer skills in marginalised communities to bring about sustainable education .
