About the Millennium Fellow
Mary Wanjiru (she/her/hers) is an ingenious, industrious and empathetic student. She was born and raised in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, a diverse multicultural region which has substantially enabled her to develop wide-ranging hermeneutics and heterogeneous ideologies. From a young age, she has endeavored to create awareness on the plight of the necessituous in society as well as advocating for social and economic equality of the sexes. She has taken up innumerable approaches to conserving the environment and combating climate change, be they inconsequential or considerable.
