" My strive to make my community a better one is what drives me to do what I do. There is nothing more joyful than making those around you to be better fashions of who they are. I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I will be able to interact and work with like minded individuals in my campus. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Social Impact at the University of Nairobi
The University of Nairobi's Millennium Fellowship cohort joined various SACCOs and Micro-Finance Institutions during this year's Savings week. As part of our Social Impact tour, we explored ways for these institutions partnering with us in advancing the SDGs. The event that took place at the Wakulima Market attracted many small-scale traders. We talked about how how the SACCO movement can support Young people by creating internships and offering decent work and economic growth for the entire society. On their part, the SACCOs shared the strategies they are using to end Poverty, alleviate hunger, and build sustainable cities and communities through their products.
