Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health kwa Highschoolers

The project is about creating awareness on matters mental health to students at a young age and equipping them with tools to take care of themselves and those around them.

About the Millennium Fellow

Verlery Akinyi Otiende is a medical student at the University of Nairobi (College of Health Sciences), Kenya. She has always wanted to be part of the solution to the problems faced by her society and this together with her love for science, especially that concerning the functioning of the human body, has led to her currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in medicine to help with the shortage of medical doctors in her country. She seeks to empower the members of her community to take care of their health by engaging with them at the community level and educating them.
