" “I’d like to uncover the truth of the world, swirling with so many mysteries and secrets. Although I know I can never track down all of them on my own. Which is why I hope that being a part of the Millennium Fellowship could further develop my skills and help me pursue knowledge.” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Seeds of Hope

Project: Seeds of Hope is a campus project by the fellows from the University of the Philippines Baguio. It is a leadership training program that will equip student leaders with knowledge about certain SDGs and causes that will guide them to become next-generation leaders. This project aims to collaborate with experts to discuss some pressing issues and make relevant initiatives to address them. During the Millennium Fellowship period (August-December 2022), Seeds of Hope will tackle issues not limited to the following: Mental Health, Financial Management, and Invasive Species in Baguio City. Events for this project will be held online through webinars and face-to-face through leadership training activities; an outreach program at the end of the semester will also be conducted to mark the end of the fellowship. The project aims to cater to 50-100 people for the leadership training activities and 300 people for the webinars.

About the Millennium Fellow

Carlo Isip Bawa is a Physics student studying at the University of the Philippines Baguio. He was born in Taytay City and lived most of his life in Antipolo City (both in the Philippines). Since his childhood, he had a certain fascination with science and curiosity on how the world works. This interest stems from Carlo’s attractions to the stars and heavenly bodies shown in elementary and highschool science books. He had greatly developed his understanding skills with the sciences along with his mathematical skills. Carlo wants to be a theoretical physicist in the future and pursue the world’s knowledge.
