" It only takes a single matchstick to start a wildfire. As part of the first batch of Millennium Fellows in my university, I hope that this singular source of fire will allow me to keep a flame of serving the community going for the following years to come. Also, the training and skills that I will receive from the program will make sure that I can take my social impact to the next level. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Seeds of Hope

Project: Seeds of Hope is a campus project by the fellows from the University of the Philippines Baguio. It is a leadership training program that will equip student leaders with knowledge about certain SDGs and causes that will guide them to become next-generation leaders. This project aims to collaborate with experts to discuss some pressing issues and make relevant initiatives to address them. During the Millennium Fellowship period (August-December 2022), Seeds of Hope will tackle issues not limited to the following: Mental Health, Financial Management, and Invasive Species in Baguio City. Events for this project will be held online through webinars and face-to-face through leadership training activities; an outreach program at the end of the semester will also be conducted to mark the end of the fellowship. The project aims to cater to 50-100 people for the leadership training activities and 300 people for the webinars.
