" "What's interesting about having problems is that you can be part of the solution. Promoting advocacies that address certain problems is an important step in eradicating issues that prevent our societies from developing. Good thing, there's Millennium Fellowship who supports and magnifies the efforts of students who work for the betterment of the world we live in. Voices will be heard and hope will be found." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Seeds of Hope
Project: Seeds of Hope is a campus project by the fellows from the University of the Philippines Baguio. It is a leadership training program that will equip student leaders with knowledge about certain SDGs and causes that will guide them to become next-generation leaders. This project aims to collaborate with experts to discuss some pressing issues and make relevant initiatives to address them. During the Millennium Fellowship period (August-December 2022), Seeds of Hope will tackle issues not limited to the following: Mental Health, Financial Management, and Invasive Species in Baguio City. Events for this project will be held online through webinars and face-to-face through leadership training activities; an outreach program at the end of the semester will also be conducted to mark the end of the fellowship. The project aims to cater to 50-100 people for the leadership training activities and 300 people for the webinars.
About the Millennium Fellow
Jueh Dayniel Dela Cruz is a bright, outgoing, and enthusiastic student at the University of the Philippines - Baguio. Her life has never been too easy despite being bright, outgoing, and enthusiastic, since she experienced a lot of adversities, especially regarding her mental health. But, these difficulties have brought her the drive and passion to be an advocate for mental health. She believes that a person's mind is their treasure, and we should know how important and precious it is to them. Jueh aspires to be someone who could help other people in any way she can. To do that, she explores and feed herself with the right education in order to support her advocacies meaningfully. Hopefully in the future, she becomes a professional who could give the proper assistance to people who needs her.
