" "It is without a doubt that populations and even the Earth itself are experiencing a range of crises. And I have always thought to myself that we can do a lot—individually and together, micro or macro; and that I want to be part of the collective and transformative action force people are building from around the world. The Millennium Fellowship presents a big opportunity for youth leaders globally to come together and make a social impact. Hence, being a Millennium Fellow will not only help bring our visions to life but also hone and exercise our skills, creative thinking, and experience through collaborating with a diverse set of Fellows for a brighter future." Millennium Fellowship Project: Zero-UP!

The overall goal of this project is to inform regarding the national and global waste situation, help realize our everyday wastes, and promote activities that significantly lessen these wastes towards a more sustainable living for all. To achieve this, the Race to Zero-Waste project comprises three activities overall: weekly online postings (i.e., situationers, tips and hacks, infographics, product/organization/related initiatives promotions), an online seminar that will more deeply discuss information regarding everyday waste and how one can help manage it, and a fair that will be held on-campus where local shops will be invited to showcase and sell their products—which help in the goal of mitigating waste such as second-hand clothes, tumblers, and reusable straws and bags.
