" I am committed towards the progression of healthcare reform and bringing awareness to struggling communities around the world. Through the Millennium Fellowship, my passions and visions for these reforms in the humanitarian healthcare field will come into fruition. I am beyond grateful and honored for the opportunity to work alongside diverse, yet, like-minded individuals around the world towards one common goal. Under the mentorship, support, and guidance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, I believe that we can, and we will, achieve great success. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Displaced Dispatch

My project will connect people that are being forcefully displaced from their homes in various countries to people of the same nationality/ that speak the same language at Penn. Through this initiation concerned students and faculty at all schools of Penn (Undergraduates, Graduates) will be able to connect with either struggling parents or children and provide them with support in one of three ways. Specifically, students and faculty can volunteer through the dispatch by providing either mental health support, financial/emergency planning support, or academic support to children in various age groups. Mental health assistance during trying times is of utmost concern especially for adults, specifically women who have seen and suffered violence, abuse, and persecutions. For adults, students and faculty at Penn can assist them in what the best steps forward are in regards to finances and opportunities/ways to support their family during trying times. Providing children a somewhat steady education during the unknown time period of displacement is one that is imperative for their development and future. A curriculum that is on par with what they would have been learning in school is vital to continue a bit of normalcy during their struggling times.
