" I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow because of the baggage that I will get when I finish the courses. Experiences from the campus directors ,how to handle obstacles throughout the projects , among others .It will help me towards my project and help me attain the goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Ahava Project

Ahavah is a hebrew name ,meaning "love".At its most basic level,it means having
affection towards someone.are there times when you see poor people and think of
helping in any way you can. This happened to me and always happening to me as
many times as possible. That is why I started a project of helping poor people to get
what to eat,and possibly, get what to do as work or job.
Ahavah project started in 2019 when I finished my secondary schools. After enrolling
into the university ;General medicine and surgery Faculty ,I also learnt that severe
malnutrition can cause child dwarfism. It is in this case that we are not only helping
people by giving them what to eat ,but also telling them how and when to cook any
kind of Food. We also encourage them to find work to do in any way. whether it is
highly paying or lowly waging, as long as it is legally accepted by the law and can
bring food to the table. As they say "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day.
Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime."
To this time ,I am doing this project with 60 members. The team took the name, and it
is called ahavah team. We are currently working in Huye district and Kigali city.
