United States International University Africa | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 10
" I am truly humbled to be apart of the Millennium Fellowship because such opportunities were once a dream for a girl like me. Having come from a community where poverty and illiteracy is prevalent, it became my driving force to ensure that my community doesn't suffer from these problems. With this opportunity, I believe the skills that I will acquire and the knowledge I will gain will allow me to build a much bigger platform for the Kenyan youth to take part in economic growth and development by eradicating illiteracy and poverty. The networks that I will also make will allow me to partner with several people that will ensure that the dream of an literate Kenyan youth will be achieved. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Oasis
The project is a program that teaches young boys and girls tech subjects that they use to come up with solutions to alleviate the immediate problems in their society.
