United States International University Africa | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 5 & UNAI 7

" I am excited to be part of this prestigious program as it will help me work on and refine my skills and also help me connect with my community on a deeper, more personal level. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Fourth Wave
My project seeks to usher in the new wave of Feminism into the Kenyan psyche and spread awareness on social issues relating to Feminism and how it, as a movement, can positively impact everyone's lives regardless of their gender identity. Intersectionality is one of the pillars of the fourth wave of feminism and it has been sadly neglected in a majority of feminist spaces where one perspective is harolded above the rest, my project seeks to reintroduce intersectionality into feminist spaces and cement it there as much as possible.
About the Millennium Fellow
Elizabeth Mogaka is an International Relations student at United States International University Africa. Elizabeth is passionate about the fourth wave of feminism, a result of having grown up reading the works of intersectional feminists. Elizabeth hopes that her project will help in ushering in the new wave of Feminism into the Kenyan psyche and spread awareness on social issues relating to Feminism and how it, as a movement, can positively impact everyone's lives regardless of their gender identity.
