" Millennium Fellowship is the exact direction which is required to carry out the cause that I am working for. During my design project last semester, I designed a space for the acid attack victims and in the process got deeply connected to them and their cause. I hope to carry out the work towards making people more inclusive and empathising towards this community and I am looking forward to achieving that through the Millennium Fellowship . "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Saahas-Tranquility over Trauma
Saahas pledges to give acid attack survivors a safe space - a space which accepts them, brings them in when they're at their lowest, rehabilitates them and makes them confident enough to face society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sneha Mahato is a 5th year architecture student from VIT vellore who is working towards giving a safe and inclusive space to acid attack victims in India. She hopes to gather knowledge, information and tremendous support as a part of the Millennium Fellowship and hopes to advance the SDG goals towards a better future.
