" While one side of society upgrades their digital devices to the most recent models every few years, there are people on the other side who cannot afford digital access. This gap causes people, especially students from economically backward regions, to be left behind when the rest of the world technologically advances.
Through this project, we aim to provide every student access to the digital world, irrespective of their economic background. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I aim to get the skills and network to improve the reach of the project. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Udaan - Erasing the Digital Divide
Project Udaan aimed at reducing digital divide in students, especially in rural and backward areas and improve online learning opportunities. It works by creating a link between people who have outdated digital devices that they no longer use and people who have never had access to the digital world. This also helps in reducing the global e-waste generation by prolonging the useful life of a product.
