Millennium Fellowship Project: Chronic Health Issues and its Mental Effects (CHIME)

CHIME which means Chronic Health Issues and its Mental Health Effects.
The project is focused on the two major chronic medical conditions; diabetes and hypertension. Our aim is towards the youths, middle age groups, elderly in our local community. We would be talking about the risk factors which are avoidable or inevitable. How they should be avoided. Teach them to recognize Signs and symptoms, Their management, support group system, control and when to seek help at the hospital. And we hope with joint effort, mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being will be drastically reduced

About the Millennium Fellow

Chidinma Chinenye is a senior medicine and surgery student at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. Her strong aspiration lies in understanding how individuals can make global impacts socially and politically. With a focus on Nigeria, she's concentrated on her region's role in the medical sector. Through a dedicated project, she aims to fortify the region's medical influence. Post-graduation, Chidinma plans to pursue a residency and master's degree, aiming to amplify her impact within society.
