CHIME which means Chronic Health Issues and its Mental Health Effects.
The project is focused on the two major chronic medical conditions; diabetes and hypertension. Our aim is towards the youths, middle age groups, elderly in our local community. We would be talking about the risk factors which are avoidable or inevitable. How they should be avoided. Teach them to recognize Signs and symptoms, Their management, support group system, control and when to seek help at the hospital. And we hope with joint effort, mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being will be drastically reduced

About the Millennium Fellow

Faith Adebara is a 5th year medical student at Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state, Nigeria.
Faith is passionate about various medical conditions particularly rampant in her country, Nigeria. She has seen the impact of these illness in the human body and psyche. As a Nigerian and a medical student, she has been educated broadly on these conditions, how they occured, what causes them, how they are treated or managed and prevented. She hopes to connect with other people to become a warrior in fighting against diseases on a national level and later on a bigger stage.
After she graduates, Faith plans to have reduced the mortality and morbidity of these conditions and giving her country a much needed relief and perhaps this will also alleviate burden on the several industries related to health.
