Millennium Fellowship Project: Chronic Health Issues and its Mental Effects (CHIME)
CHIME which means Chronic Health Issues and its Mental Health Effects.
The project is focused on the two major chronic medical conditions; diabetes and hypertension. Our aim is towards the youths, middle age groups, elderly in our local community. We would be talking about the risk factors which are avoidable or inevitable. How they should be avoided. Teach them to recognize Signs and symptoms, Their management, support group system, control and when to seek help at the hospital. And we hope with joint effort, mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being will be drastically reduced
About the Millennium Fellow
Ibitein Lolomari is a 400l Medical Student at Afe Babalola University. Ibitein is passionate about many things but of recent empowering and educating her community about chronic diseases which have a long-term or lifelong period of management. She hopes through the Millennium Fellowship to learn from and cooperate with like-minded individuals interested in this course
