Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Women Deserve Better
Project Women Deserves Better- involves ending all sorts of violence against women. The aim of this project is to enlighten women about their basic human rights, help them stand up for themselves, and encourage abuse survivors to share their stories so as to encourage other women in such situations. It entails advocating for the need for more enlightenment concerning physical, emotional, sexual, and domestic violence and how we can all come together to eradicate it.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kolapo Olajumoke Janet is an Afe Babalola University medical student in Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. As an individual, she is passionate about the girl child and aims to impact her society and the world at large by enlightening females about their human rights, ensuring that society is safe enough for them to thrive, and creating awareness of gender-based violence. Through her project she hopes women in the society realize they deserve better, they can be protected, and more women are encouraged to share their experiences. In the future, she aims to volunteer in organizations that aim at preventing gender-based violence.
