Millennium Fellowship Project: Parea
Parea' is a club at my College aiming to facilitate intergenerational communication and helping the elderly become active members of the community. Once a week, a group of students is to visit a local elderly center and host activities with the people there, ranging from group stretching to short computer lessons.
About the Millennium Fellow
Emmanouela Yiannoudakou is a senior law student at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens minoring in graphic design at the American College of Greece. Growing up in an urban center with a high median age, Emma seeks to revitalize the local community through a social program that encourages the elderly to create bonds with their fellow neighbors on the basis of their common passions and interests. In the future, Emma plans to earn a master's degree in European law and work towards sustainable development through environmental law.
