Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy community initiative

HEALTHY COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
The project is about primary health promotion with women and children (age 14and below ,both girls and boys )as the heart of it. It is aimed at promoting the sexual and reproductive health together with their mental health. The project entails education of SRHR ,pad drives and creating a safe space for young people and women in refugee camps and vulnerable communities to be able to articulate issues that affect them directly.

Women and children under the age of 14 in refugee camps and other vulnerable communities face several problems for example sexual reproductive health issues, post partum depression and nutritional education for women, adolescent and growth education issues, lack of motivation and emphasis on importance of education amongst other issues.
Possible solutions to this problems include provisional pads in paternship with other organizations, creation of networks for women to speak up on issues affecting them particularly after delivery ,nutritional importance and development patterns for children.
Possible goals of the project are the beauty of girls to be enlightened on their growth and development, boys empowerment programs, Fun activities for children under the age of 14 in the camps and consideration of mental health for women especially after delivery will be well taken care of.
The project is basically aligned to the sustainable development goals of the UN.This include SDGs 3,4,5,10 and 17. This will promote a healthy population through promotion of primary health care with eventually promotes Universal health care.
