Millennium Fellowship Project: Project EcoLife

Project EcoLife is a project founded by Millicent Ameyaw, a final year student at Ashesi University, an Initiative that seeks to provide inhabitants in towns along the environs of the Volta River with access to clean water by catering to two major problems: First, taking out the pestilent water hyacinth weeds in the water and second, converting them into water filters to take out the chemicals in the waters of the Volta River which exist due to the illegal mining activities.

Millicent Ameyaw is a young Changemaker who is passionate about making an impact on the world around her. Millicent has demonstrated a fervent commitment to global development and social progress. With a passion for sustainable change, she has collaborated with diverse communities, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and innovative solutions. Adept at bridging grassroots initiatives with international awareness, Millicent has engaged in projects addressing critical issues such as education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. Her unwavering dedication to empowering underrepresented voices and catalyzing positive transformation showcases their leadership and vision. Aiming to shape a more equitable world, Millicent continues to inspire meaningful impact through her dynamic engagement and advocacy.
