Millennium Fellowship Project: Red Dot Line

Mission Red Dot Line is a community initiative addressing menstrual discrimination in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Our mission is to empower women, promote sustainable menstruation practices, and reduce the environmental impact of menstrual waste.

Objectives:

Educate and Empower: Conduct workshops and awareness campaigns to educate women and girls on menstrual hygiene, break societal stigmas, and empower informed choices.

Sustainable Alternatives: Collaborate with NGOs to provide access to and promote eco-friendly menstrual products, fostering a shift towards sustainable practices.

Stakeholder Engagement: Advocate with policymakers and businesses for supportive policies and practices related to green menstruation and waste management.

Impact:
The goal is to positively impact the lives of 400-500 women and girls in Rudrapur, fostering a community where menstruation is destigmatized, and sustainable practices are embraced. Mission Red Dot Line is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 11, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable world.

About the Millennium Fellow

Cheshta Arora, a second-year undergraduate at Ashoka University majoring in Economics and Finance, hailing from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, is eager to embark on her journey as a Millennium Fellow. Her enthusiasm stems from the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the social and menstrual well-being of women in her hometown of Rudrapur.
