Millennium Fellowship Project: Progress

Project Progress is a comprehensive initiative aimed at making significant strides in the lives of individuals grappling with neurodegenerative disorders. With a primary focus on dementia, Huntington's, and Parkinson's diseases due to their prevalence, the project is designed to bring about positive movement, growth, and awareness within the community.

Raise Awareness: The project strives to educate the community about various neurodegenerative disorders, their symptoms, and preventive measures. Regular LinkedIn posts are employed to disseminate information, ensuring daily insights into the world of these disorders. As a part of the project, we aimed at

Collaboration: Recognizing the importance of a collective effort, Project Progress collaborates with various clubs, professors, Ph.D. students, and other stakeholders at Ashoka University. By leveraging diverse expertise, the project aims to create a more impactful and effective outreach.

Interactive Sessions: To enhance understanding and foster dialogue, the project conducts sessions with professors, experts, and individuals who have first-hand experience with neurodegenerative disorders. The goal is to facilitate open conversations about these conditions and debunk myths surrounding them.

Support Network: A database is established with contact numbers of different treatment centers, offering a valuable resource for those seeking assistance. The initiative also encourages individuals to share this information with their family and friends, fostering a supportive network.

Leadership Development: Through active involvement as the Campus Director, Kownhasa gains leadership skills and knowledge. The project emphasizes the importance of effective communication and engagement to keep the audience energized, a lesson vital for leaders in any domain.

Enjoyable Productivity: Acknowledging the connection between enjoyment and productivity, the project encourages the upcoming fellows to find joy in their initiatives. By making the journey enjoyable, individuals are more likely to contribute meaningfully and derive satisfaction from their efforts.

Project Progress is not just a venture into neurodegenerative disorders; it is a journey of personal and collective growth, driven by the passion to make a positive impact on society. Through education, collaboration, and a commitment to leadership development, the project aims to create lasting change in the lives of those affected by these disorders.

About the Millennium Fellow

Quanisha Saboo, an Ashoka University undergraduate, is majoring in psychology while exploring math and entrepreneurship as minors. Embracing cross-disciplinary learning since school, she seeks knowledge across diverse spheres. A passionate orator, Quanisha shares college life and culinary adventures on YouTube. With a zest for connecting with diverse minds, she aims to create an inclusive, aware, and supportive space through her project. Committed to bettering lives and spreading smiles, She's enthusiastic to create a positive impact. She believes in the principles of continuous learning, unlearning, and re-learning.
