Millennium Fellowship Project: Project SAMVAAD

The acronym SAMVAAD refers to a 'Sustainable Approach to Manage Volunteering-
driven Actions Aimed at Development', based on the concept of 'exchange' or
'samvaad' (in Hindi). Through volunteering and capacity-building initiatives, Project
SAMVAAD works on actively integrating community engagement and well-being in the progress toward sustainability.

About the Millennium Fellow

Shrishti Tiwari is a third-year undergraduate at Ashoka University with a keen interest in addressing complex problems through people-centric solutions. She has worked on both local and national-level projects aimed at social equity, well-being, and inclusion with multiple non-profit organizations across India. Through the Millennium Fellowship, Shrishti intends to advance SDG targets in three key areas of community-driven change: improving educational resources and peer mentorship for rural students; facilitating meaningful exchanges between local residents and the student body; and promoting equal opportunities for engagements on campus and beyond.
