Millennium Fellowship Project: English for Self-Advocacy
My project will focus on teaching English to the girls in Afghanistan, so that they are empowered to advocate for themselves. If they are good in English, they can avail so many opportunities. For example, they can raise their voices through social media and international platforms on the issues of Afghan women, they can apply for scholarships abroad and attain higher education, and they can access to resources online that they wouldn’t otherwise have.
