Millennium Fellowship Project: English for Self-Advocacy

The "English for Self Advocacy" project is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering Afghan girls by providing them with language proficiency, self-study skills, and opportunities for personal growth. The project operates under the guiding principle of challenging gender-based educational restrictions prevalent in Afghan society.

About the Millennium Fellow

I am Sahar Abbasi Pre UG student at Asian University for Women. I am from Afghanistan and came to Bangladesh in October 2022. I am very enthusiastic and creative with a wide range of interests., I was always highly interested in volunteering and working with non-profit organizations and charitable foundations. I currently work as a Women’s activist rights in Change Generation Women’s Organization. I have a wide range of responsibilities in this role, but mainly my work is focused on the development of cooperation with young people, as well as the provision of assistance to vulnerable groups. I graduated from English Access Micro Scholarship Program sponsored by US Embassy in Kabul. I currently studying leadership at Aspire Leadership Institute founded by Harvard University. I have worked as journalist in Radio Marefat and as a video editor in SA TV as well as AUW Social Media.
