Millennium Fellowship Project: Poor Nutrition Declining Health
The project was basically about the sdg no 3; (good health and well being ) in slum areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Despite being one of the big cities of Pakistan people lack access to proper nutritious food due to lack of awareness and poverty. People are trapped in an unhealthy cycle.
This project focuses on connection of poor nutrition and declining health, repercussion on the health of community/population and also the role of awareness in promoting and empowering change. It evolves around the making of conscious choices such as having nutritious food, making healthy life style changes can have big impact on the health of people.
About the Millennium Fellow
Wazir Yazdan Khayam Khalil is a young and passionate Public Health student at Bahria University Islamabad, Pakistan. Hailing from Gilgit Baltistan, his aim is to contribute towards community also to learn and teach the importance of health and wellbeing of individuals in a community. His vision is to motivate and guide people towards better and healthy life by attaining sustainable development Goals and also to protect the natural environment, resources and human rights. His mother is also serving community by providing health services in Gilgit that truly inspires Yazdan and other young people in the community.
