Millennium Fellowship Project: Thriving Through Holistic Health

The purpose of "Thriving Through Holistic Health" is to encourage people to have a positive dimension towards their health by practicing intentional self care, hygiene practices, sanitation, exercise, and paying attention to their mental health.
The expected outcomes is to increase the number of people who are intentional about their health, both physical and mental, and are into healthcare practices such as meditation, journaling, exercise, hand washing, proper diet, and environmental hygiene, to improve overall health.

This project was carried out over a period of 3 months and it included:
- A general health talk with a healthcare professional, done physically, emphasizing on the importance of practicing good hygiene.
- A mental health talk from one of us, which also held physically to educate 49 audience on what mental health entails, how to be aware of mental health, practices to improve mental health, and when to seek for help.
- An organized health walk took place within the campus involving the fellows and other interested students (about 21) where we did minor exercises like jogging around the campus, squats, lounges, and other aerobics.
- An online webinar on the topic "Thriving Through Holistic Health" where one of us discussed general health practices and hygiene, while another fellow talked about mental health, with an audience of 20 in number.

About the Millennium Fellow

Basirah Adejoke Musa is a 22 year old woman with a vision to make the world a better place. She feels fulfilled volunteering and just really helping others in anyway she can.

She believes that if we all play our part and do the best we can just like the story of the hummingbird, then our planet will soon be better than we can imagine.

She is an Optometry student who is interested in sports like running, skipping and basketball, and has also taken a liking to data analytics.
