Millennium Fellowship Project: Antimicrobial Drug Resistance
I currently study in a community with less knowledge on the effects of Antimicrobial Resistance, my Undergraduate Curriculum positioned me to have a clearer understanding on how microbes are resistance to drugs and the threat they pose to human and animal lives . As a student who lived in the hostel, I witnessed how my fellow hostel mate abuse drugs, taking antibiotics drugs for fungi infection, taking fungi drugs for bacteria infection without seeking for medical intervention, such as failure to consult the doctor or misusing an antibiotic for it's specific treatment. This has driven me to venture into this project, Hence, I have taken it upon myself as a responsibility to educate and enlightened my fellow colleagues by spreading awareness on the effects of ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE TO DRUGS.
