Millennium Fellowship Project: VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR SUSTAINABLE PEACE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The project was aimed at training internally displaced persons mostly women who have been victims of the ongoing anglophone crisis in the northwest and southwest regions of cameroon. we were able to train 60 young girls in "hand work" or vocational training programs ranging from Cake and pasries, tailoring , Makeup art, Microsoft, Web Building , Plaiting and Hair installation, Nails art and cooking . Most of these ladies are single mothers who got pregnat mostly as a result of rape as the ongoing armed conflict persist in this our part of the country.

We partner with a community based organisation Called Smile Again Community Association-SACOA to carry out this our project successfully. The trainees had classes four times a week and had 6 hours per classes for 8 weeks.

We had a small event that marked the end of the trraining and community religious, and other CSOs leaders were present and certificates of participation were handed to the participants as they go to startup a business with the skills they have acquire during the 8 weeks taining.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ajaoung Eseck Jack Ezeh is the founder of Smile Again Community Association (SACOA), a community change agent, peace advocate, and a member of YALDA Africa and JCI. With a strong passion for community development and youth empowerment, Ajaoung has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at creating positive change. His dedication to sustainable development led him to serve as Campus Director for the UNAI program, Millennium Fellowship, at the University of Buea. Ajaoung is committed to promoting regional integration within the CEMAC region through a student-led program in partnership with local NGOs
