Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth and Women Empowerment in agriculture, A Gateway to financial resilience

Youth and women empowerment in agriculture, A tool to financial resilience is a project that was meant to empower and equip women and youths in the agricultural sector through knowledge sharing in the value chain addition of plantain. This was attained through several trainings on the method of plantain propagation and the main method used was the PIF plantain multiplication technique to produce more plantain plantlets that are disease free and pest resistant.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kungang Ambotaba Nora is am agricultural student at the University of Buea in Cameroon. Kungang is passionate about youth and women empowerment in agriculture. An a Cameroonian native, academically she focuses more on community development, discovering innovative practices to improve crop productivity. Through her project, she hopes to help her community become an advocate of sustainability. After she graduates, Kungang plans to earn a Master's degree in Crop Production and work in a field regarding Food Security and Nutrition.
