Millennium Fellowship Project: Emotional and mental health care

Emotional and mental health care is a group project to be carried out by six people; Benyui Favour Tamufor, Gabila Clarence, Njoume Merveille, Takor Tahirri Ekemdang, Daisy Imbole Efoe and Jong Irene Manta in the Faculty of Health sciences, University of Buea, Cameroon. This project aims to engage with the students of the faculty and reflect on how inefficient management of emotions affect mental health . During the Millennium fellowship semester long period, we will have a sensitization, education and capacity building session with the students of the faculty. We are aiming to reach about 100 students through the on-site session.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jong Irene manta was born in August 14 , 2003. She did her primary education at a Catholic school and her college and high school at Government bilingual high school Mambanda where she studied sciences . She is currently studying Midwifery at the University of Buea . In her first year she felt that some thing was lacking and she discovered that many students are going through alot of trauma including herself so this made her to come up with the idea of creating an organization called IFEL emotional health team where she and her team reach out to those in need of emotional support.
