Millennium Fellowship Project: Emotional and mental health care

Emotional and mental health care is a project led by six fellows from the University of Buea (cohort A) and adresses issues on mental health amongst medical students.
The project aims to create awareness on how having a good emotional and mental health is important for the education of students, and it outline certain solutions to this problem to medical students in a university. During this period (from August 2023), the group has worked on ways to impact this Students on knowledge about their emotional and mental health considering the very stressful conditions of their medical program. The group had several on line meetings to contemplate on how to carry out this project will maintaining the values and lessons of the MCN training sessions. The group is aiming to impact an approximate number of 100 students during their social impact tour which is held on the 10th of November 2023.

About the Millennium Fellow

Takor Tahirri Ekemdang, was born on the 20th of July 2005, in Buea, she studies medical laboratory Sciences in the university of Buea. She is Bilingual and and can be extremely dependable and can sacrifice A lot. She is respectful and knows how to collaborate in a team.
