The ongoing global warming and the serious heat wave as a result is damaging the lives of people in a dangerous way. All these is mainly due to lack of greenery, disbalancing the ecosystem. Therefore, I as a responsible citizen wanted to take some initiative to reduce this negative impact.

Therefore I began the project “Rooftop Plantation” i.e. planting numerous trees in our respective home’s rooftop.There is huge amount of space in rooftops left unused. So by growing plants there, one lessens the temperature of the building and especially the apartments at the top floor up to 2 degrees from the current temperature and also unused space will be utilized. Thus, I tried to influence my friends and family to be part of this initiative through this project and eventually take it to a large scale in future where I have plans to include commercial spaces as well.

My friends and family members are the ones with whom I have worked with it in these 3 months. I already have meaningful relationship with them as they are from my locality and they are equally concerned about the drastic heat wave and global warming issues. For the past few months we had made many conversations regarding the issue and how to solve it. All of them are plant lovers themselves and were happily a part of the project and supported me in their best ways possible.
