Millennium Fellowship Project: Soil for Survival

Soil for Survival is a project that aims to build a sustainable farming practice in farms across India, starting with a village called Devarahalli in Karnataka, Southern India. The project focuses on enabling agriculturists to become aware of the fact that there are sustainable farming alternatives that help preserve the soil, as opposed to current practices that promote soil degradation. the project also aims to showcase the importance of healthy soil for the planet and our bodies as well, as influenced by our agricultural produce. The project teaches rural farmers to make and use composting, and other eco friendly farming practices.
