Millennium Fellowship Project: At-par
The project is a mass education initiative to stir sensitivity and aim for women's
equality from the grassroots level. The project focuses on raising awareness about
the concerns women face. Many such projects exist but I wanted to focus on targeting the youth. People aged between 12-20 need to learn the appropriate ways in which society shall function when it comes to treating men and women. All the young boys need to know that all the girls and women they interact with must be respected, they do not just support systems or dependent individuals but persons who can make their own decisions and are equal. All the women need to know what is the right way of being treated, that there are places where they can come to for raising their voices and that what they go through need not be shushed as merely "women's issues". A part of this mass education campaign shall focus on raising period awareness and on educating both men and women about the best practices that can be adopted during periods as well as debunking myths regarding the same that for centuries have resulted in women on their period being treated as alien, even in their own homes.

Esha is a final-year undergraduate student pursuing Economic honors. She is driven to initiate and drive change and loves to lead by example. Especially passionate about equality and mental health she is committed to enhancing lives through the power of awareness. An enthusiast in her daily life she loves to engross in various hobbies some of which include sports, painting, orating, and running her own podcast. A cheerful, talkative and specific perfectionist she can definitely be quite an experience to work with.
