Millennium Fellowship Project: Jivitam

My project Jivitam which means life in Telugu languange derives its inspiration from the 'Chenchu' Tribe of India who have been living in harmony with nature for centuries, and have a deep understanding of the forest ecosystem. This project aims at inculcating a similar feeling in today's youth to enable them to understand the importance of nature and effect of our smallest of actions on the environment and how that contributes towards climate change. Through this project we wanted to make students aware about the intensity of the situation and help them contribute towards the environment by participating in plantation drives, cleaning drives, recycle and regeneration campaigns and promoting the use of leaf plates instead of plastic or paper ones.
